Bob Preston is the lead consultant and creator of Property Management Brainstorm, founded to specialize in guidance for teams building property management companies and real estate investment strategies. In addition to being a property management industry entrepreneur, Bob is a seasoned Silicon Valley technology executive, having previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at two publicly traded technology companies. This high-level marketing expertise gives Property Management Brainstorm extensive industry awareness and market understanding.

Bob is a nationally known figure in the property management industry with over 20 years of experience in building and growing property management companies. He was the founder and broker/owner of San Diego's leading and fastest-growing property management company, North County Property Group, before successfully negotiating the sale of the business to PURE Property Management in 2022. He then remained with PURE as Western Regional Director, during a period of explosive growth for the company, overseeing operations for 28 branch office locations and over 12,000 doors. More recently, Bob has decided to focus on his consulting business, Property Management Brainstorm, to help others succeed in this dynamic and exciting industry.

Bob has been awarded three prestigious designations by the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM): the RMP® (Residential Management Professional), MPM® (Master Property Manager), and the CRMC (Certified Residential Management Company). He served as President and board of directors of the California State Chapter (CALNARPM) for 2020-2023 and on the NARPM National Board of Directors as the Southwest Regional Vice President (2022). Bob is a licensed California Real Estate Broker (DRE #01922571), General Contractor (#892437), and member of the North San Diego County Association of Realtors (#181799).
